Tips for Talking With a Provider About Your Mental Health
Health care providers often have limited time for each appointment. We suggest that you think of your questions or concerns prior to your visit.
• Prepare your questions
• Prepare a list of your medications including OTC, supplements and herbal remedies
• Review your family history: Certain mental illnesses tend to run in families.
• Consider bringing a relative or a friend (for support)
